Birth's Journey - Childbirth Education Classes, Colorado Springs

My affinity for pregnancy and birth began while I was practicing Clinical Social Work in Michigan.

I worked as a Pregnancy Counselor offering therapy to teens and women who were experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. I was also lucky enough to go through Birth Doula training.

After my daughter was born at home (with a doula attending) and I had resigned from my job, I realized that my career path was going to veer from clinical therapy to the birthing arena. What I had learned and experienced as a woman and mother was so affirming, inspiring, and empowering, I had to share it with others!

I am a mother to two beautiful children, both born at home using the techniques and comfort measures I teach in my childbirth classes.

I am an accredited La Leche League Leader (breastfeeding support) and Certified Lactation Educator, facilitating two La Leche League meetings in Colorado Springs.  I am also a Certified Postpartum Doula and teach a Newborn Care Class.

Check out a my Q&A to learn more about why I love teaching.

I’m so glad you found this space, please contact me if you have any questions, want to learn more, or you want to register for a class!
